Faded example
All images will fade through time or become washed out due to bleaching through exposure to sunlight or just old age.  This image was displayed in direct sunlight for several years however we quickely restored it to its former glory at very little cost.

General restoration example
This is a typical example of some general restoration work that we do one of the problems with this image was the very small purple oxidization spots just visible on this web image and the lack of tonal range due to fading through age. Their was many very fine scratches just on the surface of the emulsion. However in less than two hours of work we managed to achieve some very acceptable results more work could be done to the image but time vs the final result would not be acceptable in considering the costs involved. We will give a fixed price or estimate before any work commences. Note a estimate will be the maximin price we will charge for the work. And not forgetting our NO FIX NO FEE policy on any work.

Hand tinting example
Not so maney years ago the only way to add colour to black and white images or slides was by using a method that has not changed from the early days of photography. I have over 35 years experience of using traditional methods however with modern computers it is now possible to do it in a fraction of the time and at considerably less cost. This example I have digital tinted the facial area and applied some spot lighting to the facial area

Major restoration example
This is a good example of some serious restoration work that we do one of the problems with this image was that large parts of the image where missing, numerous scratches and cracks the lack of tonal range due to the photographic material also their has being some work done to the image many years ago taht has damaged the content of the image. However with several hours of work we managed to achieve some very acceptable results by rebuilding the missing areas fixing the scratches and removing the contamination. A more work could be done to the image but time vs the final result would not be acceptable in considering the costs involved.

Scratch and crack restoration example
In this image some physical cleaning of the image was preformed prior to the digital restoration work to remove some of the surface contamination but due to the delicate nature of the emulsion and the age of the print I could not do as much as i would have liked without damaging the photographic emulsion.

Typical example
This image was not in a to bad condition and just needed some minor work to it I corrected a few scratches and minor cracks, did some refocusing work to it Adjusted the tonal range slightly, You will notice that I have not corrected the torn section at the bottom left. In correcting this i felt it would detract from the authenticity of this old image. In less than a hour a very pleasing low cost solution was achieved for this image
